Northwest of Fairview, SD — A Hudson, SD woman was taken to a hospital after an accident on the Iowa side of the Big Sioux near Fairview.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 1:50 PM on Sunday, November 22, 35-year-old Amy Butler of Hudson, SD was driving a 1999 Ford F250 pickup westbound on 290th Street, about 12 miles west of Rock Valley. The report says she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the south ditch and rolled onto its top.
The Canton-Inwood Ambulance transported Butler to the Sanford Canton‐Inwood Medical Center.
The Ford sustained approximately $8,000 in damages.
Butler was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Fairview Fire Department and Canton-Inwood Ambulance assisted on the scene.
