AccidentGeneric 2Inwood, Iowa — A Yankton woman’s car was damaged in an accident on Saturday (2/2) near Inwood.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 3:45 PM, 21-year-old Rachael Hoefs of Yankton was northbound on Highway 182, two and a half miles north of Inwood in a 2008 Pontiac.

The report says Hoefs dropped the vehicle’s right tires off the road onto the shoulder. She over-corrected to the left, the vehicle crossed the center line of the roadway, entered the west ditch and rolled over. The vehicle came to rest in the field to the west of Highway 182, on its wheels, facing east.

The report says she may have been injured, but she was not transported to a hospital.
