Plymouth County Authorities Release Name Of Man Found Dead

Sheriff car rear genericAkron, Iowa — Plymouth County Authorities have released the name and a few details regarding a body that was found on Friday morning.

The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:50 AM on Friday (8/16/13), their deputies and the Akron Police Department were dispatched to a missing person call in the Akron area.  They now say the person had been missing since Thursday morning (8/15/13).

As a result of the search, deputies found the body of 36-year-old Jeremy Lee Clarey of Akron.  The search was in a heavily wooded and very overgrown area near Akron.  They say that hindered the investigation.  The body was found near 19001 Highway 12.  The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Ankeny, Iowa, for an autopsy and the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office is awaiting the results of their findings.
