Boyden-Hull Students Not Injured In Accident Near Boyden

Boyden, Iowa — Some Boyden-Hull students avoided injury in an accident on Thursday near Boyden.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 7:40 AM, 69-year-old Dennis Krahling of George was driving a 2011 Buick Enclave southbound on Kennedy Avenue, two miles north of Boyden. Fifty-six-year-old Thomas Anderson of Hull was driving a 2007 Bluebird School Bus westbound on 300th Street. After stopping for a stop sign, Anderson drove into the intersection and collided with Krahling.

There were students on the bus at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The school bus, owned by the Boyden‐Hull Community School District, sustained approximately $3,000 in damages. The Buick sustained approximately $11,000 in damages.

Anderson was cited for failing to yield right of way from a stop sign.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Boyden Fire and Ambulance.
