Boyden Man Injured, Cited After Accident On Wednesday Morning

accident wordOrange City, Iowa — A Boyden man was injured and cited after he had an accident but didn’t report it.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that early on Wednesday morning (8/21/13), 20-year-old Keith Wilkens of Boyden was driving a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville southbound on Jay Avenue, five miles northeast of Orange City, when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled onto its side.

The Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident when they were advised about it, about 7:35 AM.

Wilkens reported minor injuries but declined further medical attention.

Wilkens was cited for failure to report an injury accident.

The Pontiac sustained approximately $3,000 in damages.
