Boyden Man Taken To Hospital After Truck Rollover On Wednesday

truck axBoyden, Iowa — A Boyden man was taken to the hospital after he rolled a truck near Hull on Wednesday.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s office says about 4:30 PM, 73-year-old Arlin Pfingsten of Boyden was driving a 2001 Peterbuilt dump truck eastbound on Highway 18, about two miles east of Hull. Pfingsten reported that one of the truck’s tires ruptured, causing the truck to enter the south ditch and roll onto its side.

Pfingsten was trapped in the truck and later extricated by Hull Fire Department and Ambulance personnel.

Pfingsten was transported to Sanford Sheldon Hospital by the Hull Ambulance.

The Peterbuilt sustained about $10,000 in damages.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance.
