Sheldon, Iowa — You may have heard about the “Charitable Chariots” program at Northwest Iowa Community College. Students refurbish donated older vehicles and then through a non-profit organization, give them away to people who need them.

The NCC Skills USA students have refurbished another vehicle, but this time, according to Dennis Wallace, a diesel equipment instructor at NCC, there’s a twist.

He tells us about the car that’s being raffled.

He says the car was a donation to the Charitable Chariots SkillsUSA project. It does have 218,221 miles on it. It has a 3.5L V6 with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has front-wheel-drive and 4-wheel ABS, as well as a new battery, new brakes, and suspension parts. It has new tires and 4-wheel alignment. It also has a leather interior, heated seats, power options, and much more.

The winner will be picked on Friday, February 19th at noon.

Tickets are $20.00 and are available at the NCC building A reception desk, Building C reception desk, or Building D parts department, or they are also available from any student or instructor in the program.
