Karin Vanden Berg tells us that Sheldon Students are creating Christmas tree ornaments for all to see.

She says in addition to the open house on Monday, December 14th, the tree display will be open to the public for viewing daily Tuesday the 15th through Thursday the 17th from 2-4 PM each afternoon. On Saturday morning, December 19th they’ll be there from 9 AM to 12 noon.

The exhibit will wrap up with another open house on Sunday, December 20th from 1-4 PM, again with cookies and hot chocolate. She says the other exhibits will also be available for viewing.

Vanden Berg says she didn’t give any stipulations as to a specific theme or specific media, so it remains to be seen what the students come up with as to their interpretation of Christmas tree ornaments.

She says the Children’s Festival of Trees will have ornaments from the elementary children from St. Patrick’s, Sheldon Christian and East Elementary.

Again, the Children’s Festival of Trees is at the Prairie Arts Historical Park located between Shopko and the Washington Avenue Casey’s in Sheldon.
