City & SCDC Challenge School District To Softball Game

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — The Board of Education of the Sheldon Community School District will hold their regular monthly meeting for May on Monday (May 16th) at 6:00 pm in the high school library.

Among the items on the agenda will be the consideration of a challenge issued by the City of Sheldon and the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation.  Those entities have issued a challenge to the School Board and District staff to face them in a softball game at the new ball fields on Monday, June 13th, to kick off the summer rec season.  The Board will consider that challenge at Monday’s meeting.

In other action, the Board will be presented with the FY16 budget, and hear an update from the District’s Technology Committee.  They’ll consider one Open Enrollment Application, one resignation, and eight employment contracts, as well as discuss breakfast and lunch prices for the coming school year, along with numerous other agenda items.

Monday’s meeting begins at 6:00 pm in the high school library.
