Clay County Arrests

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a couple of O’Brien County residents recently.
A Sheldon man was cited on one driving charge, and one drug charge.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reports that 25-year-old Joshua Allen Springer of Sheldon was arrested on Saturday (3/3) at 9:40 PM. Springer was observed driving and found to be barred from having a drivers license. He was arrested for Driving While Barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
A man from Hartley was cited on Thursday (3/1) for driving with a cancelled license in Clay County.
A Clay County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation and upon investigation, it was found that the driver, 52-year-old Raul Barbosa, had a cancelled drivers license. Barbosa was placed under arrest and was transported to the Clay County Jail. Barbosa was charged with Driving While Cancelled and No Proof of Insurance, both Simple Misdemeanors.
