Sheldon, Iowa — This Friday, May 20th, at 3:00 pm is the deadline, for people living east of Washington Avenue in Sheldon, to stop at the Sheldon City Office, pay their $15 collection fee, and pick up a flag for Sheldon’s Spring Clean-Up Days.
Clean up is progressing this week in the areas west of Washington Avenue, which is the demarcation line for pick-up. Remember, if you have appliances or electronics that you’d like the City to pick up, you’ll need a sticker, which is available at the City Office when you pick up your flag. These stickers are $10 each.
Come Monday, May 23rd, people east of Washington Avenue must have their items on the curb by 7:00 am. City crews will be coming through to pick up items beginning at that time. Once the crews have passed your residence they will not return to pick up items that weren’t at curbside by the 7 am Monday deadline.
Remember, the deadline for getting your flag, is this Friday, May 20th, for residents east of Washington Avenue in Sheldon.
