Council To Hold Two Public Hearings

community services center 300pxSheldon, Iowa —  The Sheldon City Council meets  this afternoon with two public hearings.  The first will be on an Amendment to the Multi-Residential Urban Revitalization Plan in the Trilogy Addition.   Among other things this amendment will extend the incentive to build multi-family residential buildings in that addition, and will add limitations to tax increment financing within that area.

The other hearing will be on Capital Loan Notes not to exceed $850,000.00.  This money will be used to help pay for the engineering of the wastewater facility and the engineering of the 16th Street project.   This loan note would be paid using Tax Increment Financing.

The Council will also consider an amended contract for the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement with Poppema Trucking.  In addition they will consider a resolution of support for the Baker Township School,  consider approval of a purchase agreement on Crossroads Pavilion Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment, and discussion the addition of insulation under the concrete at Crossroads Pavilion.

The last item on the agenda is a possible closed session for a City Manager Performance Review.

Today’s council meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m.  in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
