Sheldon, Iowa — Experienced crane operators, as well as those who want to learn about crane operation, will have a chance to become trained and certified in crane operation during a Crane Operator Certification course being offered next month at Northwest Iowa Community College.
Scott Abbott works in Continuing Education at NCC, and he tells us about this training program.
Abbott talks about the portion of the training for experienced operators.
He says that, while experienced operators will be finished with the training after four days, new operators will continue after that time.
The training and certification is important since the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, has set a deadline by which time all crane operators must be certified.
Abbott says there is tuition assistance available for this training. He says space is limited, so you should apply soon. For more information, or registration instructions, contact Scott Abbott at Northwest Iowa Community College, 712-324-5061, or email email@example.com.
