Crop Conditions As Spotty As The Rainfall

Northwest Iowa — The USDA crop report released Monday shows that crop conditions around the state vary widely, depending upon rainfall.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Crops Field Agonomist Joel DeJong says rainfall has been spotty here in northwest Iowa.

DeJong says current crop conditions in our area are spotty, as well, and vary from neighborhood to neighborhood.

He says that, even the areas that have had rain could certainly use more.

There is a chance of rain in our forecast beginning tonight (Tuesday), and extending through tomorrow (Wednesday), with a slight chance of rain tomorrow (Wednesday) night.  Then it’s back to sunny skies, with moderate temperatures, beginning Thursday.
