The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday afternoon, they arrested 32-year-old Dianna Winder of Maurice.

They say the arrest stemmed from an investigation initiated by the Sheriff’s Office in November 2015 after a healthcare provider reported suspicious injuries to a 15-month-old male child. The child had been under the care of Winder, who runs an in‐home daycare service at her Maurice home.

According to the sheriff’s office, the child sustained non‐life threatening head injuries from the incident.

They report that Winder was charged with child endangerment causing bodily injury and serious assault.

The Sheriff’s Office says the Iowa Department of Human Services and the Minnehaha County, SD Sheriff’s Office assisted them.
