Deluxe Feeds Breaks Ground On $37,000,000 Expansion Project

Sheldon, Iowa — This past June officials of Kent Nurtition Group, the parent company of Deluxe Feeds in Sheldon, announced a $37-million expansion to the Deluxe Feeds operation in Sheldon.  Thursday afternoon ground was broken to begin construction for that expansion.

Deluxe Feeds General Manager Dan Paca opened the festivities with remarks about the positive impact of that expansion.

Mike Gauss is Vice President of Operations for Kent Nutrition Group, and he says the expanded facility will allow Deluxe Feeds and Kent Nutrition Group to serve their customers for many years to come.

Gauss says Deluxe Feeds’ existing facilities was one of the reasons Kent decided to expand in Sheldon.

Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation President Kevin Cain welcomed, and thanked, Kent Nutrition Group on their Sheldon expansion.

Other dignitaries taking part in the groundbreaking ceremony included Sheldon Mayor Katricia Meendering, Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth, State Senator Randy Feenstra, Ambassadors President Skip Tanner, who presented the “golden shovel” for the groundbreaking to Deluxe Feeds officials, and John Thorpe, who is President of Kent Nutrition Group and Grain Processing Corporation.
