Doon Woman Arrested After Alleged Assault In Moving Vehicle

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Doon woman has been arrested after an alleged assault in a moving vehicle.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 9 PM on Sunday, June 22, their deputies investigated a report of domestic assault that is alleged to have occurred in a vehicle on Highway 75, three miles north of Sioux Center.
Upon further investigation deputies discovered that 31-year-old Catarina Pablo of Doon was driving a vehicle on Highway 75 when she assaulted a male victim inside the vehicle. Following the assault Pablo attempted to stop the male from calling 911.
As a result of the investigation, Pablo was arrested and charged with domestic assault and obstructing an emergency phone call.
According to jail records, she was booked into the Sioux County Jail on a $1000 bond. The next day she posted an unsecured bond and was released.
