As Spring Approaches, So do Spring-Like Temps

Other than a small chance for spotty light precipitation on Tuesday through the Missouri River corridor, the upcoming week will be dry with a trend toward milder temperatures. Rivers will continue to run high with flooding for many locations from previous rain and snow melt, and we could begin to see a few more locations initiate flooding with increasing snow melt north of I-90. Current river levels can be found at https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=FSD .

Peak winds
Widespread ponding of water and increased river flooding will persist through the end of the week. If you encounter a barricaded or flooded road, find a new route! Do not drive around barricades! Do not walk into flooded areas or play in flood waters! Continue to monitor road closures if you have travel plans, and allow extra time for potential detours if traveling.
