According to Little Rock Fire Chief Joe Schilling, about 4:00 AM, the Little Rock Fire Department and Rescue Crew were called to the report of machine shed fire at 4412 120th Street, two miles north and two miles west of Little Rock. According to information from the Lyon County Assessor’s Office, that property is owned by Dale Kruse.

The chief says as they approached the scene, the fire department saw a tractor on fire. He says it had already been pulled out of the shed. He says they used water and foam to fight the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Chief Schilling says that in addition to the tractor being totally destroyed, the shed door did sustain some damage as the tractor was being pulled out.

He says the cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature. The chief says the tractor’s engine block heater was plugged in.

He says they used 200 gallons of water to fight the fire, and crews were on scene for about an hour.

Schilling says Little Rock EMS and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
