Sheldon Downtown Public Hearing Wednesday

streetscape_afterThe City of Sheldon has set Wednesday, April 17th as the date for a public informational meeting on the downtown infrastructure project, often referred to as ‘Streetscape’.

At four p.m. until 4:30 Wednesday, the project engineer will be in rooms A & B of the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.  He will reveal more details of the work that is being planned.This will be followed by the City Council meeting at 4:30 with a public hearing on the preliminary assessment plat and schedule for the project.  Public comments will be heard concerning the assessments that will be levied against downtown property owners to cover part of the cost.

It should be noted that the informational meeting will be held in rooms A & B and the Public Hearing will be in Council Chambers.  Both are on the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.

    Great timing for a meeting. Most of the world works until at least 5:30-6 p.m. including store owners.

    True with time frame. I think other cities have council meeting in the evening. But I never been to one so I wouldn’t know. I am not for it.
