Barb's CornerEverly, Iowa — The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation into an armed robbery at a rural Everly restaurant and lounge Friday afternoon.

According to Clay County Sheriff’s officials, approximately 2:30 Friday afternoon, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was advised of an armed robbery occurring at Barb’s Corner restaurant and bar, 1290 Highway 18, north of Everly.

Witnesses reported a male suspect entered Barb’s Corner brandishing a shotgun and demanding money from employees.  The employees complied with the robber’s demands and the male exited Barb’s, entered a silver vehicle and left northbound on 130th Avenue.
