Extension To Hold Financial Workshop Focusing On Women’s Finances

Spencer, Iowa — Iowa State University Extension is going to hold a financial workshop focused on the needs of women, to be called “Money Talk”.

Jan Burk, with Iowa State University Extension tells us why they are holding the workshop for women.

She tells us that the class will cover a number of topics related to finance.

The workshop will be held at Iowa Lakes Community College in Spencer, with the first session in the series starting on October 15th. There are five sessions and they run through November 12th. The cost of the workshop is normally $75, but due to a sponsorship from the Clay County Extension Council, the cost will only be $25 or $5 per session. You can register by calling Iowa Lakes Community College at 712-262-7141 or at the Clay County Extension web site. You can call the Spencer Extension Office for more information. You do need to preregister by October 7th. The cost also includes a 190-page workbook.
