Family Dollar Building In Orange City Being Converted Into School Space

Date posted - November 16, 2012

Orange City, Iowa — A building on Highway 10 in Orange City is in the process of transforming into a new facility for students and administration.

The MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District recently purchased the Family Dollar building on Highway 10. The School District’s future plans for the building include relocating the Superintendent’s Office from its present location and partnering with Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon to utilize the remaining portion of the building for career academy offerings. High school students from MOC-Floyd Valley and Unity Christian will be invited to enroll in the academies.

The opportunities for the students involved will be special allowing students to expand their high school programs. Hopefully, the educational offerings will be available in the fall, 2013.
