First Concert Of Civic Music Association Season Is Saturday

Sheldon, Iowa — The first of four concerts presented by the Sheldon Civic Music Association, a non-profit group organized to promote fine music in northwest Iowa, will be held this Saturday evening (October 7th).

The first concert of the season will feature the Guthrie Brothers, who will take people back to the music of Simon & Farfunkel. Organizers say that, from their startlingly authentic rendition of Sound of Silence to their playful version of other Simon & Garfunkel favorites, Jeb and Jock Guthrie will have audience members smiling and singing along.

Saturday night’s Civic Music Association presentation of the Guthrie Brothers will begin at 7:30 Saturday evening in the Sheldon High School Auditorium.

For ticket information, call Larry Baldwin at 712-324-3909, or Lyle Hollander at 712-475-2634.
