Five Young People Charged With Alcohol And Drug Offenses After Report Of Underage Drinking Near Ritter

Rural Ritter, Iowa — Five people were charged with alcohol and drug offenses after deputies broke up a party near Ritter on Friday.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s office reports they investigated a report of underage drinking, about two miles south of Ashton or two miles northeast of Ritter. Deputies located several underage persons in possession of alcohol. Nineteen-year-old Chelsea Garrison of Windom, MN, 18-year-old Sean Renslow of Stuart, IA, 20-year-old Ryan Johnson of Elgin, IA, and 19-year-old Jade Addengast of Ashton were each cited for underage possession of alcohol.

Deputies also located drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance believed to be marijuana. Twenty-two-year-old Jordan Johnson of Elgin was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. Johnson was transported to the Osceola County Jail and was
later released after he posted a $1,300 cash bond.

O’Brien County Sheriff’s deputies assisted Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies.
