Four Arrested On Alcohol-Related Violations After Traffic Stop Near Doon

drunk driving OWI DWI iStockDoon, Iowa — Four people were cited on alcohol-related violations after a traffic stop just minutes into Saturday morning (7/13).

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 12:02 AM, one of their deputies stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 75 and 250th Street, three miles east of Doon. An investigation led to the driver, 26-year-old Jordan Lorenzen of Luverne, MN being arrested for operating while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor.

Passengers Emily Kruger and Olivia Berghorst were both cited for minor in possession of alcohol and passenger Nathan Lorenzen was cited for open container, all simple misdemeanors.
