Sheldon, Iowa — Four of nine Sheldon instrumentalists who auditioned Saturday were selected to perform as part of the Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association High School Honor Band.
Sheldon High School Band Director Cliff St. Clair tells KIWA that Sophomore Kellen DeKok was selected on Horn in F, Senior Darshan Patel was selected on trombone, Freshman Alex Van Surksum made the Honor Band on tuba, and Senior Brian Nilles was accepted into the Honor Band percussion section.
The four Sheldon musicians, along with their counterparts from other schools, will perform in the High School Honor Band Concert, Saturday, January 5th.

The Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association High School Honor Band Concert will be performed Saturday January 5th at Morningside College in Sioux City.
