Full Moon Hike Scheduled For Tuesday At Prairie Heritage Center.

Sutherland, Iowa — The O’Brien County Conservation Board will be holding a very special event this Tuesday evening (February 19th).

The Conservation Board invites you to strap on your snowshoes or boots and enjoy a stroll through the crisp winter evening air, during their Full Moon Hike. They say the full moon should be rising, stars should be crisp in the dark sky, and they say the sounds of coyotes and owls fill the air.

The Full Moon Hike will be held at the Prairie Heritage Center beginning at 6:30 Tuesday evening for a hike along the path.

The O’Brien County Conservation Board advises you to dress in sturdy shoes and warm clothes to take part in this event. If there is enough snow on the ground, Conservation Board officials say there will be snowshoes available.

Explore the natural world under the cover of darkness, during this event that Conservation Board officials say is appropriate for all ages, and is provided free of charge.
