Webb, Iowa — An organization that helps disabled kids hunt is going to be holding a fundraiser banquet this weekend.
Denny Somers is the president of the board of Special Youth Challenge Ministries of Northwest Iowa. He tells us more.
He says they prefer that the kids have taken a hunter safety course. He says they do a turkey hunt every spring and a deer hunt every fall.
He says this Saturday and Sunday the 20th and 21st, they’re having their annual fundraiser.
The event is at 4785 240th Avenue near Webb, Iowa.
Somers says SYC is the only organization of its kind in Iowa to help kids in this way, and they have helped chapters get started in three other states.
