Gas Prices Fall In Time For Thanksgiving

gas pumpSheldon, Iowa — The recent declines in retail gasoline prices will come as welcome news to those planning to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday next week.

As of noon Thursday, pump prices for 10% ethanol blend gasoline were at $2.04 per gallon in Sheldon.  That’s well below the statewide average of $2.19 per gallon, that was reported by Triple-A Iowa.

In addition, Triple-A Iowa reports that propane prices held steady compared to last week’s price with a statewide average of $1.00 per gallon.  Home heating oil rose $.02 from last week’s figures, ending with a statewide average of $2.02.  Natural Gas prices were $.06 lower at the Henry Hub reporting site.
