George Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident

The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 4:20 PM, 46-year-old Charles Wickstrom was eastbound on 220th Street, near the southwest corner of the city limits of George on a 1973 Honda motorcycle.

The trooper’s report says 220th Street curves to the north and turns into Jefferson Avenue at that location. The trooper says Wickstrom did not turn with the road and left the roadway. The motorcycle then rolled. The motorcycle and Wickstrom ended up in the area east of the roadway.

Wickstrom was taken to Sanford Rock Rapids by the George Emergency Medical Service. His injuries were described as incapacitating.

Wickstrom’s Honda motorcycle received $500 in damage and was totaled.
