Granville Man Arrested On Fraud Charges; Accused Of Fraudulent Use Of Debit Card

Sioux Sheriff Car 84-Granville, Iowa — A Granville man has been arrested on fraud charges.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on the evening of Friday, January 10th, they arrested 36-year-old Arthur Burns of Granville.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation following the report from a Sheldon resident that someone was using their debit card to make unwanted purchases.

Upon further investigation deputies discovered that Burns had used the victim’s debit card to make over $200 in purchases from an online website.

Burns was charged with credit card fraud and theft.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Sheldon Police Department.
