Gun Talk Host Tom Gresham Addresses Texas Church Shooting

Northwest Iowa — In the wake of Sunday’s mass shooting in a small-town Texas church, we talked with firearms expert, gun writer, and host of the syndicated Gun Talk radio program, Tom Gresham, and asked him to weigh in on the tragedy.

News reports have indicated that a neighbor to the church heard gunshots inside, and ran to his house, retrieving his own rifle, and exchanging gunfire with the shooter. Gresham calls this a classic case of a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy with a gun.

Gresham says he strongly urges people to get training and be prepared to save yourself, your family, and the good people around you.

He says every day people in this country use firearms to defend themselves.

Gresham says, even if you don’t choose to carry a gun, you can still save lives.

He says first aid, as well as a firearm, can save lives in an active shooter scenario.

Gresham’s syndicated radio show, Gun Talk can be heard on KIWA-AM each Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.
