Hartley Teen Accused Of Stealing Band Instruments And Attempting To Sell Them

On Thursday, May 29, at 1:10 PM, the Sioux County Sheriff’s investigated a report of a theft that occurred at the Boyden-Hull JR/SR High School in Hull.
Upon further investigation deputies discovered that a 17 year old juvenile attempted to sell three musical instruments at Ray’s Mid Bell Music in Sioux City. Two of the instruments were owned by the Boyden‐Hull Community School district and one was the property of another student.
The 17-year-old male juvenile from Hartley was cited into Juvenile Court on a charge of Second Degree Theft.
The sheriff’s office School Resource Officer assisted with the investigation.
