Hawarden, Iowa — Construction is complete on a $14-million construction and remodeling project at Hawarden Regional Healthcare, and a ribbon cutting is scheduled for this Thursday, May 17th.
Hawarden Regional Healthcare administrator Jayson Pullman tells us about the celebration.
He says most of the hospital is new or renovated.
Pullman says of the $14 million price tag, $8.8 million came from a USDA Rural Development Loan, $2 million came from local bank participation, $2.5 million came through fundraising, and the rest will come through equity.
