Hawarden, Iowa — A Hawarden man faces felony sex abuse charges after his arrest this past Sunday.
According to Sioux County Jail booking records, 22-year old Misael Topete-Topete of Hawarden was arrested on Sunday and charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, which is a Class C Felony.
Hawarden Police Chief Mike De Bruin declined to furnish any further information Tuesday afternoon. De Bruin says the investigation is continuing, and more information will be made available once it is complete.
Jail records indicate that, as of mid-afternoon Tuesday, Topete-Topete was still being held at the Sioux County Jail in lieu of a $10-thousand bond.
