Hawarden Man Taken To Hospital After Accident

Hawarden, Iowa — A Hawarden man was taken to the hospital after an accident on Friday morning, March 18th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 7:30 a.m., 68-year-old Robert Beeck of Hawarden was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic southbound on Highway 12 when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled.

The Hawarden Ambulance took Beeck to Hawarden Regional Healthcare for treatment of his injuries.

The Chevrolet sustained approximately $6,000 in damage.

Beeck was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says the Hawarden Police Department, Hawarden Ambulance Squad, and the Hawarden Fire Department assisted with the response to the accident.
