Health Fair And SCAT Chicken Supper To Be Monday

Sheldon, Iowa — It’s become a popular annual Sheldon event. And why not? The annual SCAT Supper and Sanford Health fair features delicious food, important information, and good conversation. It’s scheduled for this Monday, May 18th, starting at 4 PM at Northwest Iowa Community College’s Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center.

The Sanford Health Fair portion of the evening runs from 4:00 until 7:30 PM.

The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team (SCAT) will serve their Annual Fundraiser Supper, featuring Pizza Ranch chicken from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

SCAT’s Dianne Wolthuizen says the event comes at the juncture of National Healthcare Week, which is May 11th through the 15th, and Emergency Medical Services Week, which is May 17th through the 23rd.


She tells us about the meal.


Proceeds from the fundraiser will be directed toward needed equipment for the ambulances. For tickets, contact any SCAT member or Vogel Paint & Glass.

Those details again:Tickets in advance will be $8.00 (adult) and $5.00 (child 10 and under). Tickets at the door will be $9.00 (adult) and $6.00 (child 10 and under).
