Historical Coffee Available At Sanford Museum

Cherokee — You’re invited to a historical coffee at the Sanford Museum in Cherokee on Tuesday, January 29th.

Those at the museum tell us that every object has a story to tell, and some of them can tell us about family history. This month they’re inviting people to bring one special object from home that tells a story of their own history or their family history.

Each attendee of the program will have a few minutes to describe their object and tell the others why the object is important to them or their family. Some examples of an object you could bring include a diary from your childhood, a piece of clothing from an ancestor, a handmade quilt from a family member, a military badge of honor, or anything else that carries a story special to your heart.

Coffee with the Curators will be held on January 29th at 10:00 a.m. A similar program is held on the last Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m., but most months the object up for discussion is from the museum collection. Free coffee and refreshments will be available.
