Sheldon, Iowa — A hit & run driver has caused major damage to a Sheldon business building.
According to the Sheldon Police Department an unknown vehicle struck the front of the Top Notch Stitching building on 9th Street in downtown Sheldon sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning, causing an estimated $30-thousand in damage to the building.
Police say the business’ north wall was pushed in, damaging the outside wall, a built-in shelf, and the interior wall.
