Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Community Schools 2015 Homecoming week culminates with tonight’s football game against Sioux Center at Orab Field. But there are plenty of activities leading up to, and following, the big game.
Today is Orange and Black Day, meaning that all students and faculty, in all of the District’s buildings, are asked to dress in orange and black apparel. At the High School, class periods will be shortened, with classes ending at noon today, followed by a host of Homecoming activities. At 12:20 is He-Man Football, followed at 1:00 pm by Powder Puff Football, all in the gym. There is a Talent Show at 1:35 in the auditorium, with a 2:30 Pep Rally scheduled for the gym. At 5:30 there will be an FFA supper at Orab Field. At 6:00 there’s a TK-6th grade Cheerleading Clinic Performance, with pre-game at 6:40 pm, and kick-off at 7:00. Following the football game there will be a Homecoming Dance.
