Rock Valley, Iowa — The Board of Directors of Hope Haven, Incorporated continues to search for a new CEO to lead the Rock Valley-based organization.
Current Hope Haven CEO David VanNingen has been at the helm of Hope Haven in Rock Valley for more than 30 years. He tells us about the board’s search to find his replacement.
He tells us about the timeline for the search.
Interviews with candidates are scheduled for the first week of May. He says there may be a second round of interviews in late May, with a candidate being recommended to the board in early June. VanNingen says he will officially retire as CEO of Hope Haven in late June or early July.
He tells us that the search committee and the Hope Haven board have some things they’re looking for in a CEO candidate.
VanNingen says that he and his family found Rock Valley a great place to call home, but he says at some point after he retires, they’ll probably move back to Minnesota to be near family.
