Hospers, Iowa — It’s a celebration 125 years in the making. I’m referring, of course, to this weekend’s Hospers 125th birthday celebration.
The festivities get underway Thursday evening. 125th Celebration Volunteer Delicica Ruschmann tells us about Thursday’s activities.
Ruschmann says Friday’s activities include museum tours, and more, leading up to a free concert Friday evening.
Following the Tonic Sol Fa concert, there will be an ice cream social at the park shelter house, followed at 10:00 pm by a fireworks display.
Saturday is chocked full of events. Ruschmann tells us more.
Other Saturday attractions include the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, inflatables, a Mud Volleyball Tournament, and a magician. Saturday night will top off with a Street Dance featuring Locked-N-Loaded, on Main Street.
Ruschmann says Sunday starts with a pancake breakfast.
The celebration will conclude Sunday afternoon at 3:30 with the Closing Show featuring the Hanson Family.
It’s a full weekend of fun, during the Hospers 125th celebration, this weekend.
