Hull Fire Department Puts Out Vehicle Fire

Hull, Iowa — A call to a vehicle fire in Hull on Tuesday (November 21st, 2017) could have been much worse.

According to Hull Fire Chief Greg Van Roekel, the Hull Fire Department was called about 4:25 p.m. to a vehicle on fire at Highway 18 and Okey Street in Hull. He says when the department got there, they saw a vehicle with one of its tires on fire. He said they extinguished the fire.

Van Roekel says that the damage was basically limited to the tire. He says the cause of the fire was undetermined.

He says no injuries were reported. They used minimal water in putting out the fire, and firefighters were on the scene for about fifteen minutes.
