Hull Man Airlifted After Motorcycle Accident In Hull

Lifenet Helicopter Cherokee lifeflight airliftHull, Iowa — A Hull man was transported to a Sioux City hospital after an accident on Monday evening.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:20 PM, 39-year-old Heath Oostenink of Hull was driving a 1982 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Third Street. Twenty-eight-year-old Justin Van Schepen also of Hull was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup northbound on Elm Street. The pickup struck the motorcycle in the intersection.

Oostenink was transported to the Sioux Center Hospital. He was later airlifted to St. Lukes Hospital in Sioux City.

Van Schepen was ticketed for failure to obey yield sign.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance Team.
