The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 22-year-old Fernando Jaasiel Rojas of Boyden was arrested in Sioux County on Monday, October 5th, on two Lyon County warrants, both for Third Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony.

The sheriff’s office says the charges stem from an incident that occurred in Doon on August 21, 2015.

Rojas had been held on a cash-only bond of $20,000, however, Lyon County Sheriff Stewart Vander Stoep says that Rojas asked Lyon County Magistrate Jenny Winterfeld to reduce the bond, and Winterfeld did reduce it to $5000. After Rojas posted ten percent of the bond, or $500, he was released.

Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, Vander Stoep says no further details may be released at this time.
