Hull Man Arrested On Three Charges After Accident In Hull

Sioux Sheriff Car 84-Hull, Iowa — A Hull man was arrested after an accident on Monday, January 20th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 4:35 PM, 31-year-old Jose Camacho‐Cuevas, of Hull was driving a 1997 Buick LeSabre eastbound on Railroad Street. He attempted to turn right onto Chestnut Street, but lost control of the vehicle. It left the roadway and struck a mailbox, a parked forklift and a building owned by New Tec, Inc.

Camacho‐Cuevas reported minor injuries and declined further medical attention.

Upon further investigation, the deputy suspected that Camacho‐Cuevas was intoxicated and determined that his driver’s license was revoked.

The Buick sustained about $2,000 in damages. The building and the forklift each sustained an estimated $500 in damages. The mailbox sustained about $50 in damages.

Camacho‐Cuevas was arrested and charged with Second Offense Operating While Intoxicated, Driving With A Revoked Driver’s License, and Failure To File SR‐22 (high risk) Insurance.
