Hull Teen Faces Theft And Fraud Charges After Online Shopping Incident

online_shopping_sxcHull, Iowa — A teenage girl from Hull faces theft and fraud charges after the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated the report on an online shopping website.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Wednesday it was discovered that several transactions occurred on Amazon.com, where a debit card belonging to someone else was used to make online purchases without the victim’s knowledge.

It was determined that the debit card belongs to a different juvenile who lives in Boyden.

As a result of the investigation a 17-year-old girl from Hull was cited into juvenile court for Third Degree Theft and nine counts of Credit Card Fraud.

The Sheriff’s Office school resource officer assisted in the investigation.
