Pacific Junction, Iowa — There’s a deal in the works for AgriVision Equipment Group to acquire ICON Ag & Turf John Deere stores in our area.
According to a press release from AgriVision Equipment group, AgriVision will add five locations in Doon, Ireton, Lawton, Le Mars and Paullina to its 10 existing locations serving Southwest Iowa, Southeast Nebraska, and Northwest Missouri.
Adam Timmerman, CEO of ICON Ag & Turf tells us about the move.
He tells us why the group of investors decided to sell ICON.
Timmerman says that’s when he started talking to neighboring dealers.
He says that customers and employees shouldn’t notice much difference — in fact they plan to add services and add staff.
According to Timmerman, the downturn in the ag economy has really not been a factor in this decision.
He says he’s been blessed to lead the organization, and he wants to thank all their customers and employees.
Timmerman says they should know whether John Deere corporate approves the sale by December 21st. If they do approve, the sale will be effective on January 16th, 2018.
