Industrial Park, Community Park, Downtown Development and More on Sheldon City Council Agenda
Date posted - March 20, 2012
The Sheldon City Council has a busy agenda waiting for them when they meet Wednesday March 21st.
One of the topics is the Development Project for the Crossroads Industrial Park which is located just East of Highway 60 and South of Highway 18.
Another is the Presentation on the community park master plan which has been developed through a series of meetings where the committee invited the involvement of the public.
The Council will also be asked to consider a proposal from the downtown development committee, commonly known as the Street Scape Plan. This plan was presented to the council sometime ago, but since that time the committee has been reviewing their proposal for this presentation.
The council will also consider a Tax Increment Financing application and Development Project. In other business they will consider the ordinance for re-zoning a parcel of land just West of the new Hy-Vee store and the former Data Dimensions property on Western Avenue.
Other agenda items include a request from Perspective Insurance for the use of the City Parking lot for a Civil War Exhibit, and a discussion on the Library Board budget.
Wednesday’s meeting begins at 4:30 in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
